I bought these to top cupcake "birthday cakes" (as opposed to an expensive cake-shaped candle), and it will fit the bill. You can color the trim however you'd like which makes it look incredibly cute and detailed, but it it quite hard to do perfectly, especially on the top tier where the details are much smaller hard to paint/color with a toothpicks. They are also 3D which is really cool..you just "glue" them together with a dot of chocolate.
